It is an absolute pity that former Director Sarah A.and now, recently, Youth Services Director Martha K. both left/found employment elsewhere in large part because, I believe, cuts in the budget from the 'city fathers'. This forces the new Library Director, Su, to operate on a 'shoestring' in order to keep the doors open. Here's hoping that the newly elected city council/mayor can re-prioritize and see this city run, operated, and financed service for what it is....a perfect jem! Centrally located in the heart of the City, it stands as a beacon in this lovely rural setting. This library with it's myriad of services and programs offered to anyone who opens the (now abbreviated) doors, is the cornerstone to our great and beautiful City. Citizens of SCF, if you use our Library, please SPEAK UP to your council member; do not let this vital service slip further into obscurity.
