WARNING TO ALL EXHIBITORSIf you’re a DJ, Caterer Travel Booking Agency, Professional Musician, Florist, etc., you may want to re-think working with the people that run this event.The opportunity is amazing, no doubt, with hundreds, if not thousands of brides & grooms looking for wedding related services. The potential lead reach is nearly unmatchable in the local area. However, don’t let the big opportunity and their little charismatic charade leave you blindsided.They are deceitful and corrupted.The staff was very helpful and friendly, at first, speaking in a pleasant voice, being polite, listening. We even shared laughter and a little chit chat on the phone. I actually enjoyed talking to them and they were able to answer all my questions.I was enthusiastic about signing up after the conversation on the phone and immediately signed the contract after hanging up.That was my first mistake. All I can tell you is:READ THE TERMS.They are very tricky.You’re basically signing a contract that says you MUST make a FULL payment, even if something comes up and you can’t make it.It doesn’t matter if you make a down payment or not, you are locked in to full payment. There is no escape.We had a client book an event for the same date as the Bridal & Wedding Expo and had to cancel our booth reservation, but they wouldn't let us. They wanted all their money. All of it.God forbid you have a family emergency or something pop up.That is most ridiculous set of terms I have ever heard of. You are literally signing your life away.We are a DJ service business and never make a client pay full price for an event they cancel.There may be a cancellation fee, but asking a client to pay FULL price for a service they aren’t going to use is absolutely unreal. It’s diabolical.There are exceptions of course, like if they cancel with less than a week away to the event or something, but literally the expo is MONTHS away. Months.(this whole affair with the harassing calls/e-mails started back in the beginning of October and the event is in January)That’s plenty of time to take our name off the list and tell the staff NOT to set up a table. It’s just a table, nothing fancy, no elaborate set up. A table.I sent them an e-mail politely explaining that we were unable to make it due to some other obligations.It was at this point, the mask came off. They no longer hid their true malicious nature.I received dozens of harassing phone calls and e-mails from multiple members on staff, threatening me with legal action.One lady literally left a voice mail with the most condescending tone ever. I finally decided to call her back (second mistake) to which she proceeded to just yell at me. I tried to explain that money wasn’t the problem. I could literally pay it TOMORROW if I wanted to, but it was unfair to expect me to pay FULL price for a service I was not going to be able to use at an event that isn’t happening for MONTHS from now. She wasn’t listening at all, and kept yelling at me so I decided to hang up the phone.Awful.They’re friendly when they are trying to get that sale, but once you’re a customer and sign that contract, they go from wonderful, helpful, and friendly to demanding, unkind, and flat out rude.Once you put your name and address on that contract, you’re no longer a person to them but a money tree to cut down with a chainsaw.Greedy. Rude. Unfair.This company is just like Comcast. Like yeah, they’re the biggest, but that doesn’t mean they’re the friendliest or most customer driven company.Needless to say, we’ll be looking for other ways to promote/exhibit our brand.Avoid at all costs. They only want your money and don't care if you're happy as a customer.
