Client Review on Washington Agency

Feedback:

In mid-August 2018 I had a contract on a condominium in Torrington, that was listed by Tony Gioia, the contract being subject to a "satisfactory building inspection". Well the inspection was unsatisfactory and I and my Buyers Agent apprised the Listing Agent of such, and we requested that our $1000 initial deposit be returned, according to our contract. We did this circa 8/26/18. My deposit still has not been returned to me as of this date 10/21/2018, despite numerous requests by myself and my agent. Moreover, no reason for their holding on to my deposit has ever been offered by the agency or agent. In all my fifty years of being involved with real estate transactions I have never seen such a blatant mishandling as this. This is really serious business when a real estate agency monkeys around with funds that are to be held "in trust". And NO notification as to what this business is all about. TERRIBLE TREATMENT.
