This insurance agency is the absolute worst.. I have had complete coverage on several cars with State Farm through the Leonard Agency for decades. What a joke. The agency owner is never in, and has been impossible to make an appointment with at any time. I have tried time and time again.The agents responsible for selling coverage to you are all smiles and appear to be extremely friendly. From my experience. They are more than willing to sell you all sorts coverage to ultimately increase your premiums for your protection. ( their pay however is actually commission based, so they more insurance they encourage you to "protect" yourself with, the more they get paid ) The real problem becomes apparent when you actually have an accident and need to file a claim.Its at that point the situation can deteriorate rapidly. Where once the agents were so helpful and full of answers and smiles concerning recommended protection amounts and actual claim processing times, should an accident happen, suddenly they can do nothing to help you with your accident or claim problems except give you a number for the claims office. Which is in fact accessible only by phone. Where you will most likely play phone tag , as i did, with a claim agents answering machine for days, weeks, or even months.My experiences of dealing with the claims dept., has been a complete and total nightmare. They are well trained on how to lie and convince you to settle for the least amount possible. That is if you can get someone on the phone, or to return your call..These are the same people you had to pay the outrageous premiums to for your protection against any losses you may experiance, usually for many months or years. What a scam. The more info you provide, the more they want. And around and around it can go, for years. Worlds apart from the agent who was so friendly and smiled so much. You know, the person who actually sold the policy to you, for your protection. The very same person who explained how quickly and efficient the claims process and timeframes involved would be should any accident actually occur..I would recommend any company other than The Leonard Agency in Garden City SC for insurance coverage. Unless you actually want to possibly end up in court fighting with the same company you may have paid for years to protect you. Just so you can get a fair settlement.
