Client Review on U-Haul MovingStorage of Bountiful

Feedback:

We had a NIGHTMARE experience with this U-Haul that ultimately got worked out. We were displaced from our home for 3 days. We sold our house and bought a new one and they were supposed to close on the same day allowing us to transition seamlessly. Our real estate agent made a mistake that made our home close 3 days sooner than our new one was available. Our mover told us to go online and rent 3 uhaul trucks for 3 days and move our entire home into 3 trucks where it would remain until we could move into our new home. When my husband went to pick them up, he was told he couldn't have them for 3 days (regardless of our online reservation and was treated really poorly) he was told that another family had a reservation for one of the trucks to move out of state. He tried to reason with them that he had a reservation and it was irrelevant who had the truck as long as they got paid, but they didn't care and were rude and totally ignorant when we were going through a horrible situation. We tried to make arrangements to move our home into the new homes garage and get it out of the truck but couldn't make it work. He then received a threatening phone call from a female manager who began yelling at him telling him that if he didn't return the trucks she would call the police and report them stolen. We begged and pleaded with them and tried to explain the situation WHICH SHOULD have been ok as WE had an existing reservation for the trucks for 3 days. But they were mean and abusive. I finally drove to the location personally and went looking for the manager. I found a male and female standing in the parking lot and I asked for the manager. They explained that they were BOTH the manager. I told them that I was the culprit of their stolen uhaul trucks and we needed to work this out. I explained what happened with our home and they suddenly became totally empathetic, understanding and kind. They explained that they had already changed it so our trucks now could be out an extra 2 days (making it a total of 5 days instead of 3) and they had arranged to get another truck from another store for the family that was moving (it would have been nice for them to call and let us know this as we were sweating them calling the cops) the female then extended her apologies and asked me to tell my husband she was sorry for her actions. I wish I could have spoken to the owner and they could have learned that this happened to us. Thankfully the extra day they extended us we needed as we didn't get unloaded like we planned and we used it.
