Surprisingly, I had a very nice experience today when visiting the Macomb Co. Clerks office while renewing my CPL license. Normally I shudder at the prospect of dealing with any government agency at any level. Today however might have changed my mind. I found the new Clerk's office very organized and quite efficient. My total time there was 15 minutes. (Lydia)?, the counter person was very friendly and helpful. After our brief business and engaging small talk, I felt good about how I was treated by our local representatives.

In office some of them are helpful but most of them were not knowledgeable. One the phone they are extremely rude and down right mean.

Well I've heard about these folks now and again and if I take the plunge it will be in Las Vegas or here. Wanting to know what other services they provide so I'll call them up by sometime. Mayor is another one and pastor is are famous for officiating. Lot to discuss pre.

The time of this review is 3:11pm on Mon, 10-9-17. As of this time I've been calling for over 15 minutes, the phone has been ringing the ENTIRE TIME and know one has picked up! Its pathetic! This is why no one has respect for government. If this was a private business we could at least take our business elsewhere. Listen up government employee's; why should the voters have ANY faith you can perform the more complicated aspects of our government and in OUR best interest if you can't get basic customer service correct? An organization reflects the values of its leadership, for this I will vote against current clerk.

I can't complain about the service. The new number system works well. However, this morning I needed to go to the clerk's office and I got there about 20 minutes before the office opened. I found it quite interesting that most of the employees were parking in the prime parking spots for customers (2 of them parked on either side of me). I was fortunate to get a front spot where I could see when they unlocked the door. It was obvious they were employees because the building was still locked and each one of them used a badge to enter the building. I would think that employees would have to park at the back of the lot and leave the prime spots for customers.
