We stayed at the Overlook cabin for 2 nights. Location is beautiful, quiet, peaceful - if you need to escape from everyday rush this is the spot. Or it would be if it was kept clean. On the first look cabin didn't appear dirty, but as the day went on, we would notice more and more. Sheets were clean, towels too, but both had musty smell, so did one of the bathrooms. Master bathroom is completaly new, so no issues there. Shower curtain had black and pink mold (see pics), there was mold on window sills and also some 'growth' on the furniture and side panel of kitchen cabinets. A lot of dust on all of the ceiling fans and bathroom fan. Dirty, dirty windows (inside). Cabin is older but it wouldn't be an issue if it was clean. Overall-great location, poor cleanliness.Edited to add: Surrounding is really beautiful but this cabin is in need of deep cleaning and instead of adressing the problem you deny it. Bad management. Way to go - telling customer to focus on beauty instead of cleanliness. I have been in cleaning business for 10 years and I know what mold looks like. You can see it on the pics both on furniture and on shower curtain. Ceiling fans can be easily dusted with duster (standard equipment of any cleaning service). Shower curtain should be washed in bleach after every customer to prevent pink and black mold (both seen on the pics). You wrote about residue of propane heat - when we were there (fall) it was 90 degrees every day, I'm assuming it is similar during summer so no need to turn on the heat. So you are saying that this windows were not cleaned since last winter? That was probably last time the heat was on... There is one more review on tripadvisor complaining about cleanliness so I'm not the only one.
