Client Review on Vroooom Technology

I own a local business and I paid for a very costly web site which I never received. It cost even more to try to resolve the issues through the legal system. I would ask Vroooom if they ever had similar actions taken by other customers. They should be able to give you a list where you can go and find these people and you should talk to them.Working with Vroooom was so bad that I never wanted to even think about them again. Someone called on me at my business to get a reference for Vroooom and after talking to that person, it encouraged me to write this review. Vroom only shows 16 sites in their portfolio when they say they did 1000. Review these and also try to find other websites that Vroooom has built outside this 16. Call those businesses and discuss Vroooom with them. Compare the quality of Vroooom's sites to others you use. Run some of Vrooooms sites through any of the free testing programs and speed programs for websites that can be found free on the internet. The results of these checks will give you an idea of how good the web sites they are building are. I don't think they are very good.Look at Vroooom's web site which is a WordPress web site. Anyone can get a WordPress web site for free. Ask to see examples of web sites they actually built that are not free Wordpress sites. They had a large account for the Carmike cinema chain. Ask them what happened to that web site.You will find that in my opinion their prices were too high for what they said they could deliver. Ask them to show you examples of their SEO, search engine optimization. Do searches for local businesses products and see if Vrooooms web sites show up on the first page. It is my experience from working with them that they did not understand SEO. They did not take the time to understand my business and therefore were unable to provide a final product that one was pertinent and two even worked. I had to hire someone to get my URL back from the hosting company and rebuild another site from scratch. I would not recommend them for hosting services as they offer nothing you cannot get for a fraction of the price elsewhere. If you decide to use them, I would make sure that the contract says the site belongs to you and you do not have to pay them additional money to get your web site to take with you if you choose to move your site to another hosting company. I would make sure that your URL is purchased in your name and you have control over this. I would have the contract reviewed professionally, but still understand that a contract with them, even if reviewed initially by a lawyer, may have to be enforced in court. This will end up being a big headache and expense. Don't pay a dime until you get a working site you are happy with.I would look to see how current and relevant this company is. Are they keeping up with their blog or social media themselves? Are they putting out Youtube videos. If you search for "website design Georgia", on what page does Vroooom come up? How about a search for "SEO Columbus Ga"? In my opinion, a company that has a service to build or optimize your web site should come up on the first page at least for searching in their city for SEO and maybe the first or second page for building a website in the state. Vroooom does not pass this test. Also remember if it is not in their contract, it does not matter what they tell you.As a business owner, I find that it appears that they may be still taking advantage of businesses that are not tech savvy. Offering to give a "free mobile site" is of no value as most programs they use, particularly Wordpress are already set to do mobile. I would not recommend this company to handle any web site design, build, hosting or optimization. I would not use them again and I would not recommend them to a friend.
