Just enjoyed a very nice lunch with my parents on the way home from the cottage.The Anchor has been around forever, but it has been under new management for a year or so.With an eye to local ingredients, the Anchor offers a reasonably priced menu of flavourful offerings with enough variety to accomodate everyone. It includes all the items you would expect like burgers and sandwiches and salads, but include creative twists with added ingredients to provide a unique meal.I had a maple walnut glazed whitefish salad that my Mother had been raving about for the hour previous to our arrival. Delicious! Dad had a bacon and gouda burger that disappeared at a fairly quick rate. He loves that the fries are "not greasy". Mom cleaned the maple walnut salad dressing off the plate.Locally the Anchor is popular and can be quite busy. If you are visiting from out of town, be assured that you will have a fine meal whatever you select.They have great butter tarts as well.... Thanks Denise!
