Great beer and great food. A lovely village pub with a good selection of beers and wines. A newly installed screen means rugby and football is shown here.The food is fantastic and reasonably priced for pub grub. The triple cooked chips are lovely and would recommend the fish n chips or the burger. The roasts on a Sunday are delicious!

Sat out in the garden and ordered two drinks. Came to over 10 pounds. My mother was dissatisfied with her rose wine. 'It tasted like vinegar' she said. We also ordered a water on the side and it tasted unpleasant also. We both tried this and didn't like it. My mother expressed stomach problems afterwards.Would avoid.

Having never been to Walberton and after reading the stunning reviews posted on the internet which were convincingly reinforced by an official at the nearby Tangmere museum ,my partner & I were most impressed not only at the friendly and attentive service and the seemingly unique gothic atmosphere(not least the eyes of the nearby Victorian waitress that were permanently fixed upon us!) but also at the mouth watering roasts that we both thoroughly enjoyed-don't mention the dessert!! We will both certainly return and many congratulations to the new team for the recent reinvigoration of The Holly Tree!

It's changed hands a few times recently, but it now seems to have someone that's moving the pub forward. It's a great place for just a pint or a family meal. You are welcomed by staff who are happy to help. I am a bit confused by the previous comments about the wine tasting funny, surely you would mention it to the manager or staff, if it's not acceptable ?
