Really friendly had everything we needed

This was our second summer here at Big Bend Resort. This summer we reserved A39, the single wide next to the ramp. We showed up for a weekend with our family to find rats had completely gotten into everything we own. Nesting in the clothing placed in the chest of drawers. Nesting in all of our pillows and bedding. The rats ate through all our packaged food and soiled everything else. We immediately removed all of our salvageable belongings and left. I tried contacting Lois (the resort office manager) that Saturday evening but the office was closed. I contacted Lois, first thing Sunday morning with her saying she would contact the owner and get back to me. So Wednesday I call Lois again. I leave a message, no response. Two calls no answer, fourth call, she again gives me nothing. She has not given me any answers to this issue and has not even bothered to be accountable for it. We are stunned! Pretty Pathetic!

Big bend camping resort on the Parker strip is the best up-and-coming resort on the river. The management are not only real people They run a clean Campground also they are not money hungry as the resort grows by leaps and bounds if you’re looking for property contact Louis she’s the bestThanks to the entire staff

The best part about this place was the store and the restaurant. The restaurant served very good breakfast and large portions. the store had a little bit of everything you might need. In our room bring your own soap and shampoo because there was none there. The shower was lousy and we had trouble with the toilets. We stayed in the little rooms across from store. you may want to bring your own blankets too because what was supplied left a lot to be desired.
