Be wary! I booked a place in April 2019 for July 2019. One week before we were due to arrive, our booking was cancelled because it had not been repaired from Hurricane Michael (October 2018). We did not know at the time we were booking, the unit was not suitable for habitation. Century 21 offered to find us a new residence, and there was little left to rent in our price range at such a late date. They did not offer to compensate us for the inconvenience, either. I had travel insurance so I received a full refund and I found a home on VRBO, cheaper and larger.

Cried upon arrival and misled...1301 Ocean Drive, Emerald Isle.I've never been so disappointed by a beach rental in my life. We're a military family and my husband just returned from a deployment. This was our fun beach vacation and we had people coming to visit us. I was completely embarrassed by the property. The property was SOLD during our stay and we were inconvenienced on not one, but two occasions. Absolutely inexcusable. The listing agent should've informed Vrbo and we should've been given an option to stay elsewhere. They 'the real estate rental company' told me upon check-in there was a showing at the property on the Tuesday. I'm an understanding person and was willing to accommodate. When they called to confirm, they said it was a 'final inspection' and would take 30 minutes. They were there more than 2 hours. Would you allow this on your vacation? If I was told that upon arrival, I would've understood more what was going on and tried to change this stay at that time. I was misled and not given proper notice of the situation. On Thursday, the new owner wanted cable installed and inconvenienced us again. Rude and completely unacceptable. The installation technician interrupted our lunch and said he'd be 10 minutes. He was more than an hour. Again, would you like this on your vacation? The listing of this property was quite inaccurate for what it really was, there were cockroaches, the house was dirty, outdated and unwelcoming. They provided linens and I had to put them on myself, that's one thing, but the bedspreads were not washed from prior stays, were stained and foul. I wanted to gag. Light bulbs were out, the mattresses were uncomfortable, and the couch had the most disgusting slip covers I've ever seen. I didn't sit on the couch the entirety of my stay. We left a day early we were so disgusted by the entire situation. I feel completely robbed of a nice stay at a waterfront property. The view and the beach didn't even make up for this horrendous show. I will not use use this company in the future, nor will I recommend them to any my friends. The stay was a negative and I would not give a single star if I was given the option.

Stayed at Pebble Beach D308. It had BED BUGS! We were told to leave which we wanted to do but they refused to find us another place to stay. We were told by the receptionist they could put us in another unit but the manager said there was nothing available & we would have to leave. When we got home we spent 2 days cleaning our stuff. They would only reimburse us half of our money. Our vacation was ruined.

Horrible experience renting with Century 21 Coastland Realty. Between the nails sticking up from the floor, outlet covers missing or broken, the underwear and women’s hygeine stickers found, the home practically falling apart, to the false advertisement of the property rented. The manager Debbie was so dismissive and the owner Vann Parker not only price shamed me for a $1600 rental, but also couldn’t take accountability for the rental conditions and the horrible experience, instead he blamed me for staying in that property. Do not rent with them, there are other wonderful rental company’s on Emerald Isle that will take care of their customers!!

My family as we always do came to Emerald Isle for our family vacation. We have added a few more family members over the years and we grew out of the home that we have always rented. We contacted CENTURY 21 Coastland Realty and they were fantastic from start to finish. The booking process was very simple and check in was a breeze.

Century 21 Coastland Realty is one the BEST companies I have dealt with over my many years of vacations. My family and I stayed in the Lucky Pelican and the property was better than we imagined from the Kitchen to the bathrooms everything was in great shape and spotless. When we arrived our linens had already been delivered! We will be returning to Emerald Isle very soon and will be booking through Century 21 Coastland Realty again!!!

My family has vacationed in Emerald Isle for many many years and we have never had a better experience with a rental company! From the office staff to the maintenance department everyone treated us as family! We hope to come back soon not only to vacation but to purchase a home possibly.
