I had went a spent money on there dumb application fee of 45 bucks and had everything I needed to stay and I think because I was black they didn't want me to get the house. So the house sat there for some time a white coupled moved in and have been since I hate yo say it was a black and white thing but in this case it sure felt like it

After renting from this company for 5 years and never be late on rent not one time I actually paid my rent a few months in advance several times last year while on summer vacation I received a phone call saying my rent wasn't paid i had to go into my files and pull up my check that was cashed months prior. Teresa Knowles is the most unprofessional realestate agent I have ever dealt with I received a 100% full deposit back for the previous 2 houses now that I am no longer renting from Knowles they kept my deposit after living at a property for 2 years when I moved in the house was covered in rodents and roaches I have screen shots in emails where I asked for it to be cleaned . While living in their 3 properties that I rented over the past 5 years I have had several incidents that are very concerning. The 1st house everything in my closet molded, Gucci shoes Chanel shoes everything ruined thousands of dollars worth of stuff of course I had renter's insurance where they needed to speak with the property management and they refused to speak with my insurance agency after they are the one who required the rental insurance! There were snakes in the house possums under the house, dop poop in the floor. I Would highly recommend finding a different place to rent from if you are considering this place be very cautious when dealing with these shady unprofessional people. My house caught on fire because they sent on license electricians to the house to try to cheaply correct a problem my new born baby almost died from smoke inhalation If you days before Christmas. My refrigerator was no good in the house and lost over $500 worth of meats, When they finally came and replaced the refrigerator they not the door handle off and I am now being charged for that as well even though I have messages to the repair man who never replied or came to fix it I am still being charged by this unprofessional company. Be Ware and be careful. My lawyer will handle this and I will be happy to update.

Been renting from them for about two years and without a doubt the worst company ever. My child is one and our air is broken and has been for the past three weeks. You call and you get the run around and then the Knowles team says that you have to call another number for the landlord, once you call the landlord he doesn’t answer so then you have to call the Knowles team again to tell them to tell him to answer the phone and then you may get ahold of him. Very very rude and unprofessional team. Certainly not the type of team I would like to rent from and the reviews clearly don’t lie either. Every time we call for anything there is either an attitude or no answer. The office hours are completely impossible. The only people the hours work for is for them. They have never even seen the inside of my house. So whenever something is wrong they have no clue what I’m talking about, which makes it very upsetting because they are NO HELP. The only reason we rented through them was because we needed a place to live and they were our last choice unfortunately.

They don't return calls, their business hours are almost impossible to work around especially if you work, and forget about ever getting your deposit back. They might be the only place to rent from in rockingham county, but believe me you are better off finding someone local.

For a few weeks, I was working with an agent that was communicating with Teresa Knowles and her team. I live in Northern Virginia and they know they had someone coming from out of state. I was forced to switch my agent on the day of showing, HOWEVER, prior to that, Teresa Knowles never told my agent at the time that there was an offer on the table for the house that I was very interested in buying. After a full day's trip and $125 in diesel fuel, I was too late to put an offer in. Teresa should have told my agent at the time that there was an offer submitted as I would have drove down during the snowstorm of 8 inches we had on 2/20 to view the house instead of 2/21. I viewed the house and was already in love with it before I drove all the way down there for one showing, one house - a new construction in Reidsville. Teresa did not identify to my new agent until we arrived at the property around 4:30 pm on 2/21 that there was an offer on the house and we had until 10 am on 2/22 to submit an offer. My new agent had been in communication with "The Knowles Team" since around 12pm est 2/21, as I was already in route. On 2/21, after viewing the house, my agent put the packet together and it was sent over to me around 7 am. I woke up at 8 am, alarm set and all, even though I returned home on 2/22 at 3am, I was going to sign the offer and submit it. Not only would I have bought the house, I would have outbid the other buyer. No doubt in my mind. I have been house shopping for over 8 months and have yet to even have an agent draw up any offer documentation. I was buying. Knowles knew I was coming from out of state on 2/21, they never told either of my agents about the offer, why did they hide it? I have no clue. Because if I were Mckinney & Sons Builders, I would find a different agency to sell they beautiful homes they are building, because Teresa Knowles does not care about making them money obviously. Any agent or broker with common sense knows, if you have someone coming from out of state, pre approved, cash in the bank, they're a buyer. So by not keeping to her word of 10 am on 2/22, Teresa Knowles did not make Mckinney & Sons extra profit. I WOULD HAVE WITHOUT A DOUBT, outbid any buyer on that house. No doubt about it. She did not tell my agents about the offer, she did not hold her word about 10 am deadline on 2/22, or I would have signed the offer from my phone on my drive back. If you are listing a property, I would find an agency that has better ratings and is in your best interest - to get you the most possible money for your listing, Teresa Knowles is not it. You will lost profit, time as well as customers like me may lost $125 in fuel for a wasted drive. Buyers - if her word can't be kept as a listing agent and deadlines are not real deadlines, well, don't think that the Knowles team has your interest in their minds either. Steer Clear. 1 star is 1 star too many. Picture is time stamped of when I was at the property on 2/21/19.

Teresa is rude and very disrespectful. She was very confrontational and she called me private to argue and hung up in my face. She denied me off of a biased bs reason. My credit score is good, rental history is great. The only issue I have ever had was renting with them. The first go round, that didn't want to fix the gas tank which hindered the gas company from filling it. The roof was leaking and she didn't think it was an issue and when I started the process to move she made a big deal about it when all they had to do was keep up their end of the contract. And also they have a tendency to bait and switch. The places are cheap though.
