It’s amazing that my neighbors on both sides of my house has chesnee cable and they live future off the road than I do?? 6 months ago I could get internet but now NO? How is that?

Why am I, as a CUSTOMER, expected to pay $150 for Chesnee Communications to come out and fix their equipment just because it is the weekend?Our internet has been out since Friday with no resolution offered unless we agree to pay $150 for YOU to fix YOUR EQUIPMENT!!!I work from home as well as have online classes that I have not had access to. Who is going to reimburse me for my time lost at work? Who is going to make up for my lost time in class? This is just bad business all around. I shouldn't be responsible for equipment that is not mine!!!

Nothing but problems..will tell you they are going to come fix something then never show up or call and even once, the man wrote on the report that we weren't home and I just got off work and talked to the man myself. Nothing but problems. I'd rather go without wifi the deal with this company. Friendly people but never do what they say.

So I think it’s pretty sad that the only response you get back from this company is if it’s a positive one. We have no cable or internet right now. We have to wait until Monday to hopefully fix the problem. There is no one that works on the weekend. This the worst cable company ever. The worst part of it is there is no other cable company in my area. I was hoping that being under a new company they would have better service.

ok i am back here to write up my latest review of Chesnee Communications (now Skyline). when i first started writing a review a few weeks back (at least a month ago), i initially was happy with the service. however, shortly after posting it, my network went to pot! i mean really really bad, example: i'm paying for 75Mbps, and consistently maxed out at 34-40Mbps and lower. needless to say, i was very upset. So I changed my rating to just 1-star and a lengthy negative review. i then reported to the tech support at Chesnee of my issue, and initially they thought it was my home network. WRONG!! I'm a IT Manager with decades of experience in networks, and before i called them, i tested my network to be sure it wasn't. they didn't believe me, and had their tech come over more than once, only to be proven that it was outside my network. I also scheduled a bandwidth test that would run hourly for several days and sent them the report daily. It took all my reporting to prove it was either a bad network cable on the street or a saturated Node. Well, they finally found it was a saturated Node, moved some neighborhoods to another node, and BINGO! The network is now running at or around expected 75Mbps speed. If you have a similar issue with your bandwidth bouncing like a yo-yo, open a ticket to them, troubleshoot your personal netword (one way is to connect a PC directly to the modem with ethernet), run a internet speed test, if its bad, tell them and don't stop reporting your bandwidth stats.I want to thank Steve (technician) and Greg (Supervisor) for working with me to resolve the problem. Hopefully, we've all learned from this experience and be more proactive in the future.Now, if you would PLEASE install Fiber in our growing neighborhood !!!! You'll have really happy customers on Ezell Rd/Gardner Rd. I'll even set my review to 5-stars too !!!!

Wished I could give a negative rating. So wished I could get Charter in Chesnee. Customer service sucks. Service sucks periods and is over priced. They have a monopoly on the area. Had to call them over and over to get them to get them to run the lines to our home and now have to wait almost 2 weeks to get them to actually come in and actually run the lines inside the home, all the while I'm paying for internet services that I'm not receiving. How's that for customer service?

The absolute worst service out there! The internet is almost always out and when you call to get it fixed the customer service representatives are rude. Someone was suppose to be sent to our house to look at it and we waited for 3 hours and no one ever came. I called to let them know and they just gave poor excuses. To even come in the house (not to fix the issue) they wanted to charge $90 for something that is THEIR FAULT. They are disorganized, lazy and obviously do not care about their customers. This isn't the first bad review of theirs and I am sure it will not be the last. If you're looking to buy their services, go with ANYTHING other than Chesnet.
