Feedback:

This agency is a f...kin waste of time. They violated my personal space and took advantage of my time waiting at the airport. The officer “riley - #5012” wouldnt leave me alone and was honestly telling me how i should operate my car and what stickers to have. This shouldnt be something uber drivers have deal with, we have inspections already, once a year and honestly its creepy that u walk around and steal all of our info and then ask to make sure the honk and blinkers work. Like really weird i should have said no i dont feel comfortable because im sitting in my car now after he was standing inches from my window for 15 minutss and i had to ask him to step back. He treated my car that i paid for like he belonged it and honestly it was so was forward i cannot believe this is a thing.

Feedback:

Ridicules agency. Treats businesses like dog meat. Fines 1600 over $16 issue. Has unreasonable rules.

Feedback:

I anticipated a long and arduous wait and also was sure it would take forever to get to the right person to get answers to my questions. What a wonderful surprise when my call was answered on the second ring and the man who needed to direct my call immediately put me through to Katie McBride who was not only pleasant and helpful but answered all my questions within 5 minutes..Great service!

Feedback:

No responses to phone calls. No one cares about their jobs here. It takes months to get anything done. DORA is basically a perfect example of the inefficiency and uselessness of government bureaucracy.

Feedback:

So this place sounds important right? They regulate towing companies, assign liscences. And have an entire list of "codes" these companies are supposed to follow, specifically for non consensual tows. In fact it states in their rules that any law enforcement tow and these rules apply. However, unknown and unposted for anyone to see, the police department and tow companies have a contract that make all these rules useless and unenforceable. They won't even fine the company.Tldr: Colorado PUC is a useless organization with no authority. They follow rules when convenient and when it makes them more money. This is a scam organization and I hope future politicians of Colorado take a deep look into what's going on here and why we pay so much money for the PUC to exist.

Feedback:

Loretta in the PUC office is an absolutely charm. Everything has been beyond smooth with her help. Thanks again Loretta. Premium Rides

Feedback:

Best experience ever. Comcast tried to screw me, and one call to the PUC and Comcast fixed all the bogus charges. The PUC was very helpful.

Feedback:

There is an energy industry lawyer on the commission. Wendy Moser formerly of Black Hills. She should not have a seat on the commission as the people of Colorado will never get a fair hearing. Black Hills is currently seeking to have the Commission's decision from last fall overturned by appeal. They are also asking the PUC to force commisioner Frances Koncilja off the case in their appeal. Koncilja and two former commissioners ruled against Black Hills last year when they sought to increase rates in Pueblo by $8.5 million a year. If the PUC allows Black Hills to commissioner shop then every utility in the state is going to follow suit and we as consumers will be screwed...

Feedback:

My experience was excellent. The switchboard operator and the person (Catherine Lopez) with whom I dealt concerning my annual UCR filing could not have been more helpful.

Feedback:

I called about an issue where Xcel was screwing me on replacing a damaged meter since our meter is 1000 feet from our house (ag land). The PUC regulates them and I had called Xcel Gas at least ten times without satisfaction. I got a representative right away, no waiting, who gave me her email so I could send photos and documentation. Once she receives those she will end all the Xcel procrastination and prevarication and order them to take care of the problem. That's why regulation is a good thing: corporations are loathe to spend money and would rather screw the little guy; the government, if you are nice to the people you talk to and don't try to force them to do things they cannot do by law, will nearly all help as much as possible. When they are a regulatory agency they have the power to order the corporation to do what they are supposed to do and can fine them if they don't. They are still on our side. It's just that most people are too ill-informed on how to approach them and often too rude to get what they want. That's their bad, not the PUC's.
