Our beach condo on Emerald Isle is currently under repair due to Hurricane Florence and with a friends wedding happening during the repairs we needed a home for us to stay in for the weekend so we called Emerald Isle Realty. My wife spoke with a lady named Cheryl (possible misspelling) late in the afternoon who placed a hold on a house for us while we confirmed with a few friends and told her we would call her the next day. Within 24 hours my wife called back and spoke to the receptionist who informs us the house we wanted was just booked and that holds are only available till the end of the day. After being direct to Cheryl to figure things out, Cheryl states again holds are only for 24 hours though well we are calling within that time frame. She then states she called us earlier wondering if we still wanted it however we never got a phone call nor voicemail. Frustrated we asked for another house unfortunately none fit our needs. Still trying to figure out what happen Cheryl immediately became highly defensive trying to cover herself and hung up on my wife. Is that really how you treat your customers, you hang up on them? If you made a mistake own it. Try to help your customers and resolve it. I will not be contacting this company for any needs again, nor will I recommend this company to my neighbors down there or anyone in general.
