Our beach condo on Emerald Isle is currently under repair due to Hurricane Florence and with a friends wedding happening during the repairs we needed a home for us to stay in for the weekend so we called Emerald Isle Realty. My wife spoke with a lady named Cheryl (possible misspelling) late in the afternoon who placed a hold on a house for us while we confirmed with a few friends and told her we would call her the next day. Within 24 hours my wife called back and spoke to the receptionist who informs us the house we wanted was just booked and that holds are only available till the end of the day. After being direct to Cheryl to figure things out, Cheryl states again holds are only for 24 hours though well we are calling within that time frame. She then states she called us earlier wondering if we still wanted it however we never got a phone call nor voicemail. Frustrated we asked for another house unfortunately none fit our needs. Still trying to figure out what happen Cheryl immediately became highly defensive trying to cover herself and hung up on my wife. Is that really how you treat your customers, you hang up on them? If you made a mistake own it. Try to help your customers and resolve it. I will not be contacting this company for any needs again, nor will I recommend this company to my neighbors down there or anyone in general.

Gave me a roach infested rental, water smelled so bad we had to flush out water lines and slept outside the first night. No showers, no brushing teeth, no nothing. Maintenance was less than 1 block away, would not come. Absolute customer service nightmare, they only wanted to reimburse me 10% of what I spent for my having to sleep outside. They offered a whopping $150 on a $700/night rental. Never dealt with any of this using BW right around the corner, or any rental company I have ever used. Most pathetic excuse for a rental agency I have ever dealt with. The competitors in the area have nicer houses, better customer service, no roaches, and clean water.

I rented a condo to visit my mother who is 89, and hurricane Florence did some damage that left the condo nu-rentable. Tonya & Adina helped to find a place that could be rented and work with the airline tickets i have all ready purchased. After about 4 days we gave up. Then Friday Adina called me and inform she found me a place right on the beach.Two days before I was suppose to leave. This took a lot of work, a lot of work right after a hurricane. This is the 3rd time we rented from Emerald Isle and its always been a good experience.

Have used Emerald Isle Realty multiple times and have never had any issues dealing with them before, during, or after a vacation. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff make you feel at ease when along for details on properties. Our recent trip was cut short due to hurricane Florence and they kept us up to date through email and text messages on weather conditions and the eventual mandatory evacuation orders to come. They also gave us all the information and contact numbers to files claims through their travel insurance to help reclaim some of the lost time at the beach. Their service is always fast and friendly and I have recommended them to my own family and friends for their vacations as well.

Facility is very inviting. Staff is friendly, particularly the long term department. If you need a property management company, you need to check out Emerald Isle.

We have used emerald Isle Realty for 7+ years to facilitate renting a beach house. They have a great selection at fair prices. Staff is always helpful and friendly. On a few occasions we did experience issues with the rental ( at no fault of Emerald Isle Realty) ie., pest issues, linens; which was addressed immediately. Check in and out is a breeze with their drive thru system. 5+ stars on this one!

I recently stayed with friends and family at the Afternoon Delight duplex, we rented both the east and west side. There were issues before we even arrived, the sales department was of no help, and management was even less helpful. After multiple voice messages, my husband was finally able to get a hold of a person. He was able to empathize with our situation and provide a credit for some of the inconveniences, such as four smaller bed sizes and no outdoor shower. This is why I decided to rate this experience higher than a 1-star.On the East side, it seemed like everything was falling apart. Luckily - someone had duct tape. By the end of the week, the back door was ducktaped because the handle fell off, the refrigerator light was hanging by a thread, a few other lights were not working or hanging out of its bracket. The screen door in the front was ripped and a few other maintenance issues throughout the house had to be blocked from children.I would say the largest problem on the West side was the cryptic sounds coming from the front bedroom floor. It was loud enough to keep my in-laws up at night. One evening, 8 adults were conversing on the porch and a raccoon decided to join us. One thing was true, the noises from the front bedroom was definitely coming from a family of raccoons. The next day we could see the insulation pulled out directly under the front bedroom. We did report the issues and the maintenance department replied back saying they will look into it. I encourage maintenance to really give this property attention. We have been coming to Emerald Isle for years and this by far was the most problematic rental so far.
