In one trip I had so many issues with Fox/Cabrera auto rental. 1st car they gave me the tires were so bald one starting peeling away and blew on the highway. I waited nearly 2hrs for roadside assistance to come, only to be told I had canceled services. Which was entirely a lie and was only told of the cancellation due to me calling for updates on service. I was in a very bad area of ponce at the time and it was getting dark, while parmesan in a abandoned gas station.after another hour road side came. The next morning I woke up to another tire being flat. Called road side again waited 3 hours for a tow because there was no longer a spare tire to use. Was then told the car and myself would have to be towed to a town 1 hour away where I had to spend another couple of hours for the company to switch cars. The car that was given to me had an extremely bad smell. Had to drive almost 2 hours in traffic back to our vacation rental. After driving for a while we noticed a very bad oil burning smell when ever we put on the air conditioner. Going up hill the car stalled and we needed to use the emergency brake to stop from rolling backwards. Final draw is when we were going down hill. The brakes totally went out applied the brakes the car kept sliding pulled the emergency brake just before the car stop at the edge of a cliff the front end of the car hit the edge of a cliff so hard the front bumper came off as I reversed. In the car was myself and my two young daughters we could have been killed. All because Fox/ Caberera Car rental rents faulty poorly maintained vehicles. The lack of customer service support is horrible. And now I'm sitting in the rental office waiting on a police office for a report that is required but was not required when I called the issue in to the office. It is 3:36 my flight is at 5pm and it looks like they will now make me miss my flight home. This is the worst car rental I have ever experienced not to mention it almost cost us our lives. 1

Worst rental experience ever. Rolando was the guy in Puerto Rico that waited on us. First he would not rent us the car we had already reserved unless we bought the insurance through them. I told him the website didn't say that he said that's how it worked there. Second, my flight left at 6am on the return trip but Rolando said they don't open until 7am so I couldn't drop off the car til then and miss my flight or I had to pay another $25 so I could leave it at the airport. Third, it took 45 minutes to get the car because every time the phone rang Rolando would answer abd leave us waiting there.Never again rent from Fox what a horrible exercisePerience.

One of the worst experiences I've had. Horrible customer service. Crude and cold. The only people who were actually courteous were the shuttle drivers. They were talking crap about us in Spanish thinking we wouldn't understand. Won't use them again no matter how inexpensive they are. You get what you pay for...

Worst rental service I have ever experienced. I reserved a car with them and then less than 6 hours before I was to pick the car up they told me there was a mistake with the reservation and that there was no car for me. They said sorry and hung up. This ended up costing me an extra 130 dollars for another car basically doubling my cost for the trip. Do yourself a favor and use a reputable service instead.
