Feedback:

Avoid at all costs. Impossible to get a hold of, they don't bother returning calls, awful customer service. They might be slightly cheaper than the big names but in the end you get what you pay for... and that's not a whole lot.

HORRIBLE!Finally rid of them. They have been my broker for my Home owners for at least 12 years. The only reason I stuck with them is because I've had a decent price from NLC INs Co. and I never had a claim so my interaction with them was limited. Every time and I do mean every time I had to call them regarding any issue (usually billing that was wrong), I had to call back, and call back and so on. They are completely unresponsive. Apparently every woman in the office went to the same school of rudeness and arrogance. The last time I inquired regarding switching my auto ins to them I waited a week for a response. Finally I called them back and their response was the person who handles my account just left on vaca. That was after a week of no response and they wanted me to wait another week until she got back. I just switched over to Geico. Do yourself a favor, call around. I saved $150 on my home owners with one phone call and Geico was very polite and professional. Gammons could take a lesson from them.

Been using gammons insurance agency for many years. My family has used them as well. Very friendly and personable staff who get to know you and you them and its as if your all family. Never had a problem with gammons agency and anytime i had an issue with actual insurance company themselves gammons staff was on it, checking into it to solve the issue. Small quiet office.

Jody was incredibly rude and left me very ill informed about company policies. When I told her I was going to look for cheaper insurance (as I was positive, with my driving record, I could find cheaper insurance) she did not warn me that I would be charged about 7% of my policy as a penalty for cancelling early, nor did she offer to try to find something cheaper. I’m told by my current insurance agent that this is unreasonably high. Still working out the details. In the meantime, she dragged her feet getting the proper information to me as i thought it was high as well, and allowed the bill to go into collections before I was even given proper information about the charges or attempt to make a payment to Gammons directly. Jody also gave me an attitude about the new insurance I procured through a new friendly and helpful agency, telling me “Why did you choose _____ insurance? You know we carry them too?” Uuuummm, no I don’t know that, that’s your job, why and how would I know that? Anyway, still dealing with it, and it’s a nightmare. Maybe it’s all insurance agencies, maybe I just keep catching Jody on bad days; maybe she just hates women who live anywhere but Rochester...as she made clear it was all my fault that I don’t live there and if I did it would be much better for my insurance. It’s fine that it can be somewhat true (although I found equally comprehensive coverage for 40% less than what she found, no change of address needed!) ,it might have felt different if she said it lightly, but it was dished out to me quite rude and loaded with negative attitude.
