Really disappointed with my first claim experience here. My brand new car was struck in a parking lot and the person who did it was kind enough to leave a note. I notified them and gave them all of information I was given. A week passed and they never contacted the insurance of the at fault party. I had to call them almost every day for a week to get the ball rolling, meanwhile it is pouring down rain and my damaged car is rusting. The process was so slow I ended up just filing on my behalf through state farm and paying my deductible to be recouped later. There have been at least 3 instances of them "checking on it and getting back to me" and then never calling me back or making any sort of attempt to contact me. I understand being busy, but when a week goes by and they still haven't called me back, it gets upsetting. I then end up calling them and being made to feel like I'm a burden for asking about the status of my claim. Im still waiting to hear back about whether they have even gotten in contact with the liable party's insurance. Even the smallest amount of communication would have made this 800 times less stressful.
