First off, I wish I could attach pictures to this. I will attempt to at the end.My husband and I stayed in the EZ Cabin from 09/13-09/15. We got married in Unicoi State Park on 09/15 last year, and wanted to be close this year, for our first anniversary.Upon pulling up, we noticed that the cabin was located very close to other cabins in the area (I could hear people talking from some of the other cabins from inside our cabin) -- the NEXT thing we noticed was the creepy abandoned bus parked in the gravel driveway of our cabin (broken windows, flat tires, just horror-movie creepy).Upon entering the cabin, we immediately noticed the dank/musty/mildew smell. We then saw that the light fixtures were dirty, and several lightbulbs throughout the cabin did not work. This is in addition to the fridge leaking inside (wet sandwiches!), as well as a thick layer of loose rust/ashes/dirt/thick metal sand(?? We couldn't figure out WHAT it was!) on top of the wood-burning fireplace. This was our first impression -- within our first 5 minutes of being in the cabin.Later on, we decided to give the hot tub a try. We quickly changed our minds, due to the look of the cover when we took it off, as well as the hot tub having no headrests, only sharp hard plastic knobs or they once were. The control knobs were also broken off, so we wouldn't have been able to adjust the settings anyway!We took showers instead. The water temp and pressure were pretty good. The tub took about 15 minutes to drain after each of us got out, though, which made me feel kind of gross (wondering what was backing the drain up).We did not call to try any of this fixed, as it was a ton of stuff that was wrong, and we REALLY just wanted to be left alone for our anniversary weekend, and not have people coming in and out of the cabin to check on the issues.We tried to stay out of the cabin as much as possible, which was not our original plan. So much for drinking a glass of wine on the porch watching the sun set in the mountains! Happy anniversary to us!Check in/out was easy. Wrong information posted inside the cabin about checkout, though.Customer service were nice and were helpful when I had an issue with our activity passes, and when I called with questions about trash/key drop for checkout.
