Last season I bought a Kayak from Harbor Outfitters, and this season I bought a stand up paddleboard. Both experiences were incredibly positive. The salespeople were knowledgeable and helpful, and were not pushy in the least. And to top it off, they delivered the items to my home at no charge. I highly recommend Harbor Outfitters for your island sport needs!

Great experience! My kids (15 and 19) did a surfing lesson with Harbor Outfitters and were up and surfing in no time. Sean was a great instructor and was friendly and courteous. He met us at our beach and was on time. We held onto the boards after the lesson and surfed on. Reasonable rates on rentals....the best in town!

Absolutely the best customer service!From the moment I walked in the shop, they were happy and helpful. I signed up for a surfing lesson with my 11yr old, which they were able to do the next day. Met us on the beach, right on time (unlike the other place which left a large group stranded) with a few boards for us to try out. Pat was awesome and got us both up and catching waves within the hour.We even convinced 3 more people in our family to try.Same great experience for them, in the shop and with Pat.Highly recommended!!

Talk about customer service taking what could have been a negative experience and turning it into a positive!-Staying on 110th and rented a surfboard and SUP for four hours. -Got to surf beach on 110th and were told SUP are not allowed there on that surf beach and that we had to go to 82nd Street.-Called Harbor Outfitters right away to let them know I planned to return it, they not only said that it was fine to wait until I returned the surfboard, but also offered to drive to us in the golf cart and shuttle us to 82nd street with the board or swap it for another surfboard. -Although I declined (little far and I don't surf), they were waiting when we returned at the end of 4 hours with an already refunded return and a friendly apology. Amazing customer service. Would definitely return!

We took a kayak trip this week on the sound side to the south of Stone Harbor. The trip launched from the docks at Dad's Rentals down toward the Wildwood end of the island. Our group took 3 big kayaks - A dad and his 6 year old son, me and my 5 year old daughter and our wives and a 4 year old. Our guide, Jason, was patient and knowledgeable. He made sure everyone was comfortable, set the appropriate pace and made a point of showing the kids some fun wildlife. We stopped out on a sandbar and hunted for shells, found a horseshoe crab and enjoyed the views.A really nice morning trip.
