Feedback:

The best! Excellent, kind care was given to our Bichon. She was receiving follow up care after being attacked by a pitbull mix in Massachusetts.

Feedback:

I had been going here for about 12 years but I recently switched to another vet. When my cat got sick they did all kinds of expensive treatments I'm sure they knew were useless. When I brought him in the last time to be put down they didn't know his name and no one said sorry for your loss. It was all just a business transaction. The last straw for me was when my dog was throwing up everything he tired to eat I called in the morning and they said they were too busy to see him and told me to call the emergency vet. I'm sure they are competent vets but if I''m handing over a weeks wages for an hours worth of their time I need better service than what they offer.

Top notch veterinary care. Wonderful staff! ???

Coming here for 20 years...many pets have been cared for by this great staff and Dr. Yovino.

Feedback:

Very caring and compassionate people at Harbor Road. I've been going there for 14 years now

Feedback:

Our dog was hit this morning and was rushed here. (We also take another of our pups here) Unfortunately, his injuries were just too severe. The way that we were treated and consoled was heartwarming. . They kept our 4 and 6 year olds entertained while we said goodbye. They sent us home with a clay paw print, two miniature bottles of fur, and 2 packs of Forget-me-not seeds. ?Thanks to Amie, Dee, and the remainder of the staff for making the best of a heartbreaking situation.

Feedback:

We have had a couple of decades of pets that have been patients of Dr. Yovino and his associates and staff. Our first lab, Sadee was one of the first patients of Harbor Road prior to Dr. Yovino taking over from Dr. Maloney in the late 80's/ early 90's. We then followed Dr. Salvaggio to Harbor Road when she saved our cat Pippins in 1990 and then stayed with us late one night at the same hospital as we laid Pippins to rest in 2006. The bottom line with any business - what do you value? Is it a long term relationship? Sense of community? Dependability? Knowledge & Guidance? Rapid Service? (all priceless when emergencies arise). How about adding in bedside manners and true compassion for your four legged friends, perhaps the one you just laid to rest and the vet also has tearful eyes? What are you willing to pay for these services? Not much in life is free. Kindness is! Spreading good news is free! We may not always agree with all aspects of ones business practices, we can't be all things to every customer, or patient. But foundations of a strong business are built on relationships and history with good business practices. Harbor Road Vet and their entire staff have always been there for our four-legged friends, (yes we have helped fund their new space in a way (joking :-) ) Having a safe, clean, up to date hospital is important for patients and staff! I feel fortunate to have this place to take my animals for care. Do I cringe at the cost when I leave after paying for this service? Sometimes! As people most likely do when they call a plumber for service or take their car to a mechanic. We all have choices and if you choose to own a pet, which now seems to be a luxury (with all the medical issues that have come along in the years - allergies, lyme etc), you may have to give up some luxuries of your own (cigarrettes? a new car payment, a vacation?) Health care for any one shouldn't have to be a luxury - but gheesh compared to third world countries - I'd say we are pretty darn lucky with our first world problems and how awesome is it to have veterinary services from such a fine establishment? I have a grateful heart and hope that others do as well! Much appreciation to you Dr. Yovino and Staff for your honesty and ethics.

Feedback:

The vets are great. Some of the staff has ruined this whole practice for us. We have reserved kennel services only for them to have lost our reservation to showing up to kennel our dogs to find that they are left in a cage from 5pm to 8am! Too long! Not to even mention the rude young women that assist with the animals. Not all, some are great but too many times we have been treated poorly. We visit one time and are told we are all set and up to date then a month later we can’t get their monthly meds for heartworm or flea and tick because they need something else!$$$. Unfortunately we are getting our dogs records and finding a new vet. Sad because Clarissa and Glen are great.
