Client Review on Henrys Insurance Agency

I called Henry's insurance on Marlboro Pike about 2 minutes ago to compare quotes for an auto policy for a vehicle. The man that gave my quote was very rude. He spoke to me in a tone that was as if I was annoying him, or as if he were angry or agitated with me and this was only when he asked for my information. He placed me on hold and when he returned to the line to give my quote he was still rude. I told him that I had not yet purchased my vehicle but before I could continue my sentence to further explain that I would be calling back Friday to purchase the policy he interrupted me with a "hurry up you're talking too much" tone of his voice and talked louder saying "okay well we're here whenever you can just call back" it wasn't particularly his verbiage but his tone. At this point I wanted him to know that I recognized his hostility by only saying ""okay even though I haven't finished my sentence, there is no need to." Kill them with kindness. Don't let the devil steal your joy. I went from a prospective customer ready to patronize a business that is disrespectful and condensing before even securing the customer! The quote I did receive was only about $12/yr less than PROGRESSIVE any. I will take my business to them instead, since they are professional and understand the principles of business ethic and customer service. Hopefully this post will lead Henry's to brushing up on their customer care skills-and retention.
