Client Review on Hôtel Suites Lac-Brome

We stayed three nights at hotel Lac Brome. The hotel is beautifully located at the lake and we enjoyed the peaceful nature. However, we also experienced several inconveniences during our stay:Restaurant: When we checked in, we were informed that the Restaurant would be closed on Monday and Tuesday. This was not on the website, only the closure of Mondays. We arrived on Sunday evening after a very long drive and when we entered the Restaurant we were told that the Restaurant was full for the evening. Hotel guests should not be refused for the Restaurant. The manager could suggest to sit at the bar or even to prepare something to take up to the room. There should always be a possibility to accommodate the guests. Room: the alarm clock in our room did not work; in the drawer of the nightstand was a booklet with instructions for use for another model. The Keurig coffeemaker did not function on the last morning of our stay. It kept telling us, that we should place a cup, while a cup was already placed. We ruined 3 cups (among which two of our own). When we informed the receptionist upon checking out, she kindly offered us coffee, that we gratefully accepted.Bathroom: after the first night the bath towel rack came down and all towels were on the floor. Maintenance has fixed this at the end of the afternoon the same day. Upon arrival in our room we noticed big cracks in the sink. We were afraid that it would break in pieces when using it, but the first two days it did not leak. However, when we returned in our room on the third day, we noticed that the floor was wet and when we opened the tab, the water went straight to the floor. The sink could not be used any more We called the front desk and were told that the problem was known before we arrived, but that it could not be fixed that day because a new sink was not in stock and would be delivered the day of our departure. We could get extra towels. It was very uncomfortable, if the problem was already known, the room should have been blocked. If the hotel was full the first night, we should have been offered another room for the two remaining nights. In conclusion: we were very disappointed by the indifferent response of the hotel (desk) management towards the several complaints. We did expect a more service-minded attitude from a 4-star hotel. After being informed of all the problems no compensation was offered.
