There's a reason this review won't be on the cover of their website....because it truthfully tells you how horrible this Credit Union is.The only reason I signed up for their checking account was to receive a .25% discount for a HELOC loan. It isn't worth it. NO LOCAL PHONE NUMBER??? That should tell you all you need to know. After giving my life's information (both financial and personal) to qualify for this loan; they send me a form to "certify" my Social Security number under the threat of penalties if I don't. They already have this information 10x over from all the paperwork we completed. I'm not completing it and sending it in; I suggested they call their Home Equity department and have them do the work. The loan process was terrible. Disorganized, mis-managed, and cumbersome. Training doesn't exist with this Credit Union. They are not worth the trouble for .25%.

We got a mortgage and the team was extremely helpful and accommodating throughout the whole process. We were even able to close a few days early. The key is that when they need documents or information is to respond within 24 hours. We love Navy Federal Credit Union!

Everyone has always been helpful and pleasant here. The one time there was a guy being completely rude because he had no ID and insisted on getting money out. Well the staff handled him amazingly well and tried to isolate him in one of the small front offices. The staff couldn't stop apologizing to us for his sake but we understood that there is only so much you can do when someone insists they are right when they are not.
