We stayed at the Beach Colony Resort at Perdido Key. It was the worst vacation experience we've ever had. Toilets were stained, there was black mold in the master shower, body odor and cr**ch rot smells coming from bathrooms and entryway, and the absolute worst bed and pillows I've ever tried to sleep on.The last night before leaving after a nice dinner, we come back and the key will not open the door. We woke the security guard who was no help. We called the numbers on the front of the building, no help. We drove to the realty office and tried those numbers, only an answering machine. Finally, we called a locksmith who was able to get us in by using the key and a credit card. This cost $125.In the morning when trying to head out, we realized we couldn't open the door from the inside! We ended up having to shimmy through a window to escape, along with all our luggage.The realty office manager emailed me saying they tried to call, but I have no trace of a call, phone works fine. Locksmith was able to call me... Anyway, they offered us what is about $100 after we paid for the locksmith to break into our unit. They don't seem to care at all.Will never go back and would suggest anyone beware this company.
