Very poor internet service. Router disconnects at random, usually never up for more than 2 hours. Computer can never play games.

High Prices, Difficult to get in contact with anyone, Service issues take forever to get resolved. I think if there were other phone company options in the area this would not be an issue. Internet is also really really slow for the price you pay. Hope Comcast comes up in the area soon.

The customer service was absolutely terrible. I disconnected my service after my bill had been going up and up every month. The prices are jacked up since they have a monopoly, and I had to pay for a landline in order to have internet, even though I didn't need one. After I disconnected, no one informed me I would be charged 90 dollars for the modem if I didn't return it in 30 days. I was charged for the full price and was told I could not return the modem because it has been over the time window. The ironic part is that at this point they still had not refunded me my deposit. Absolutely terrible company.

Ponderosa is best described as a price gouging internet service provider monopoly. For $120 a month, you get 1.6mb upload and 12mb down. You can’t acrually download at those speeds of course, I’ve never peaked over 1.5mb download after three years of service. Would switch in a heart beat, but no other choices out in the Ranchos. Shame. You’re also stuck with obsolete equipment, constant throttling, and of course worse customer service than some Punjabi. tl;dr - don’t move to an area that you’re restricted to using only ponderosa, it’s a nightmare.

Hey guys if your looking for internet that will leave you extremely unsatisfied and genuinely pissed off... go ahead and get this internet! It is straight up garbage internet no point in buying it, your mobile hotspot will give you significantly better service. I think this might be the worst internet in America. It would probably be better to build your own WiFi router out of rocks and sticks! Please, just don’t waist your time buying ponderosa telephones internet service it’s POINTLESS!

So my only internet option in North Fork, CA is Ponderosa. I really don't care that it's over priced.....essentially $128.00 per month for internet access. My concern is that it just isn't reliable. Always down and I report my issues to a call center from another state who constantly says they have to elevate my issues. Trust me when I say that if Ponderosa had a competitor, they would go under INSTANTLY. My God I wish Sierra Tel was able to have my business!! Piss on you Ponderosa....
