Feedback:
Small quiet library feels like a branch library. Staff are friendly.

Friendly
Feedback:
Staff is awful. Rude and very unwilling to help. Woman working the passport part basically told us not to bother coming back because the wait is too long. We said we didnt mind taking a number and she literally said, that just wont make a difference.
Feedback:
Not my home library (Crystal Lake), but I did visit to get my passport renewed after getting married and changing my name. A very stark difference in my unpleasant experiences at the post office, I was treated very well and taken through the process step by step with librarian Erica. She was very kind and helpful through the process and it was super speedy too! Happy to say I received my passport in no time with no problems making it possible to make my international vacation. If I have to do any passport services again in the future or anyone else in my family, I will direct them to go through the library. Thanks again!

It is our home-for me and my grandchildren. We very happy to spend our time there.

Outstanding experience at this library. The staff member who helped me with my passport was so kind!

The younger female staff handling passport applications today, 7.18.17 has to obtain a better attitude and facial expressions.. When bringing in our applications and photos, she stated that the photos require a white background. Asking for clarification regarding where in any instructions does it say photo requires white background, she at first stated it's on the federal form. When she couldn't find it on the federal form she sarcastically stated, "Well it's on 'OUR' website." When I asked to see it, again it was not there. When I suggested it was something that maybe should be on the library instructions or library passport site to assist library customers, she again sarcastically said, and added what both my wife and I perceived as a negative, condescending facial expression, "I'll take it up with the Department of State". Maybe due to the information not there when she thought it was made her angry.Gave a second star only because she said earlier in our conversation, "I'll send it in but you'll get it back." That was good information. Imagine if instead she replied, Great idea. I didn't know it wasn't mentioned. I'll be sure to inform my supervisor. Then when I walked away, she could have said what she was thinking, 'This guy, what an idiot'. Maybe she's bias to motorcycle riders. Either way, the Golden Rule applies here. I was polite. She was condescending with an attitude and added facial expressions. SAD customer service.
