Feedback:

We loooved our cabin

Feedback:

We stayed at “Main Street” old pioneer lodge maybe? The advertisement described “recently remodeled “ rooms which were more of a hotel style, which was fine for our trip. We arrived late but the staff was very friendly and helpful when we arrived. We got into the room and it seemed nice for a 100$ a night stay. No frills, just a place to stay and clean up. That’s where the good times stopped. The room smelled like fresh enamel paint and 1950’s cigarette smoke. We were not planning to be in the room much so we didn’t get too bothered by that. Over a three day stay, we found out the truth about this place. There were loose wires protruding from the front porch into the yard, rail road ties scattered in the front lawn section which were a real trip hazard at night and some shotty wiring that kept the tv and satellite cutting on and off all the time. The front porch had old nails that were backing out which ripped a hole in my shoe and we figured out the poor wiring didn’t end with bare wires in the front lawn and shorting out the tv and satellite, but on day two it smoked my wife’s new hair dryer out. While we overlooked some of the cosmetic concerns (holes in the ceiling, fresh paint peeling off the walls, etc...) the electric concerns, nails, windows painted shut, exposed wiring were too much. We were asked via text how our stay was going on day two and gave an honest response and received a message that they would contact us on the next business day. They did call around 10am on our departure day, which I think they were making sure we were out, my wife did verbally explain all the problems we encountered. The response was “I’m very sorry you weren’t happy with your stay”. Not being happy was the least of our issues, we were very disappointed in the complete lack of care for our safety during the stay. It felt like they just wanted our money and don’t care about providing a quality product for the money you pay. I am very disappointed that red river has places like this that are in business. I would not recommend this company or location at all...

Excellent place

Feedback:

Chad and his staff were excellent. We stayed at the Double Dog. Very clean & cozy. Beautiful views and peaceful.

Feedback:

Problems with the cook stove not working first day, fixed immediately, curtains did not function properly, rug at entrance is tripping hazard, damage to some sheetrock not noted when we registered. Driveway tough to find at night, it looks like jeep trail and is steep. No mention that we needed to bring our own paper towels. When the TV times put it is cumbersome to understand how to re-boot.

Feedback:

I made a mistake on the dates when booking for the wrong weekend. I didn't realize it until we got into town. They graciously refunded our nonrefundable rental and found us another one that worked well for our number of guests. They are spendy...but it is in a mountain town with lots of attractions.. I do wish they would have fans in all the bedrooms. None of the houses have a.c. and if the breeze isn't blowing in your rooms direction for the night it can get really stuffy. We also had to wait quite awhile for our one house to be ready, we rented 2 different ones. Overall it was a decent experience and i won't hesitate to use them again... go direct through this company instead of using airbnb or vrbo... it's a bit cheaper.

Feedback:

Great friendly staff that helped us stay an extra night and gave us a ride to Taos when our car broke down.

Stayed a week at Whispering Pines and loved every minute. Very relaxing, great location, check in and out was very simple with Red River Real Estate. Great communication, 100% will book with them again in the future.

Feedback:

We stayed at the Running Bear River Lodge, great size as far as large groups go. We had 6 families and it was perfect space with perfect amounts of bathrooms. Super outdated not charming, more like they needed to throw a lot of that outdated decor away, it wasn’t even vintage just cheap and trashy. For the price we payed I was expecting more charm. We also had heater problems in a few bedrooms and also suffered from headaches while here, they did bring carbon monoxide detector and space heater but lacked concern for our safety and well being! Scary! Parking for four vehicles but we had 6. Very close walking distance to ski area, take pets, we didn’t have any but these would be positives. For the price the accommodations were disappointing expecting to be wowed. I didn’t deal with the booking agents but I think they were helpful. For the money they make on this place updates and maintenance should be done regularly obviously not the case!

Feedback:

Our family stayed at the ARTZ Cabin located at 33 Pine St in Red River. The only reasons I am giving this a 4 out of 5 review is for the following: The cabin is nice and spacious. The living room furniture is way nicer then the pictures posted. They are leather sofas and not cloth. The towels are thick that were provided and the location was not too far from the town. We brought our own fire stick and was able to connect to Direct TV and Netflix. Our phone service was poor half of the time, however. The main gripe is not being able to check in as close to 3:00pm as possible. We drove in over 14 hours and had to switch directions because of road closures. We arrived at 3:00pm, and the house was not ready. At nearly 4:00pm we drove to Red River Realty, to see about checking in. The sun was setting at 4:55pm and it was 6 degrees at this time. We also had snow chains on our tires. We had two vehicles in our group to unload. As soon as I walked in, it was ready. By the time I checked in it was already about 4:10pm and getting darker outside. It was snowing as well and we had to travel to cabin. We arrived to Pine street and the road had not been plowed and one our vehicles the snow chains broke and it had to be pushed to the house. At this time, it was dark outside and the drive way was not plowed and we had a hard time unloading the vehicles in the dark in thick snow. I had to sweep the covered porch and steps off to keep us from slipping. This was not done by people who clean cabin if it was just cleaned. As much as we pay to stay here they should have made sure the road leading to this cabin with the amount of snow that was received had been plowed knowing the customer was coming to check in. We should not have to check in minutes before it gets dark in these conditions. I feel if the sun sets at 4:55 pm they should have property ready at 3:00 to ensure the guests had ample time to locate cabin and get to it before dark and get their vehicles unload in day light hours. I also feel the roads should have been plowed as well. This is the reason for the 4 stars. Be sure to bring your own dishwasher soap, toilet paper, paper towels and scrubber for dishes. The house was nice and I feel that what we encountered was not the owners fault but the realty company fault. It could have been avoided. Other than that it was a nice stay. Also a plus it had a huge washer and dryer in lower bathroom which was nice just bring your tide and conditioner to use.
