Feedback:

Bad company. Will hold you to your end of lease but will break theirs. Failed to have an do an official walkthrough for damages. Rude and uncooperative when they feel that you owe them. Unresponsive when confronted with breaking their end of lease.

I’m not the type of person to leave bad reviews on anyone. However upon changing management companies for my rental, I e-mailed Larry expressing my concerns about how his team is doing, to help him make his company better. That’s the way I feel it should be That was two weeks ago and no response. Completely ignored my e-mail, as if it went into a black hole. Cornerstone used to be a very good Management Company as I use their services for 13 years.Upon leaving, my house on on the rental market for 10 months. I used to be able to rent out my house in two months tops. When it recently went on the market, I was in no way notified that the market has changed, If they would’ve communicated that with me, I would’ve made the price lower in the beginning. Don’t get me wrong, the staff is very nice, but they really need to be trained for todays market; not how the market used to be. I leave three stars instead of one because I do appreciate all they’ve done for my investment throughout the years, but having my house on the market that long; really hurt me financially. Most of all, I don’t want this to happen to anyone else. Lastly as soon as I switched to the new management Company, they were able to get my house rented within three days, “with multiple applicants on the table” Now with that happening, something really needs to change the way Cornerstone is doing business.I’m glad we can respectfully disagree. I wish you and your staff nothing but the best as well.

I have had no issues with the staff, they have always been friendly. I have had a couple of things on the house due to weather and age go wrong and they kept me up to date with the status of the repairs and have worked with the owner to get the repairs fixed in a timely manner.I have been renting from them for just shy of one year now, and am getting ready to sign with them for a second year!

Great staff! The girls in the office are friendly and helpful. They work to solve any problems you may have. Larry was very knowledgeable when I had questions that needed answered. They sold my house within a month of it going on the market. Some of the reviews I've read are ridiculous. Clients should realize things happen and are out of anyone's control. Patience goes a long ways when dealing with real estate - whether renting, buying, or selling.

Knowing some of the staff of this company, I will keep this review short. Most of the problems some have ran into stemmed from not having read the important documents or from ex-employees. The staff is professional, positive, and get things done effectively.

Great company! The girls in the office are great! The broker is very knowledge and goes by the book. If there's an issue, come to him (without attitude) and he will do his best to help. As far as property mgmt, it's not an apartment complex. You're dealing with individual owners. If you call the girls with an issue, they do their best to get it handled within the means they are allowed. Take care of the house as though you have pride in it and the owners will appreciate it and be willing to work with you.

The business means well but simply is unable to be effective at property management due to inexperienced personnel with constant turnover. My wife I and rented for two years and moved into a home with a broken oven, holes in the wall, dead light bulbs and dirty carpet on the agreement that all of the issues would be fixed in two weeks. It took nearly four months for the oven to be fixed and the rest were never addressed (despite the extensive move-out checklist that requires you to clean air ducts, paint, professionally clean the carpet and patch all holes). Furthermore, each time we had any maintenance concerns it was like pulling teeth to have them fixed (these issues included no A/C in the summer, sewer fumes from a water heater that was installed incorrectly and no heat in the winter). Overall the staff was friendly but in no way shape or form is Conerstone's property management team professional nor can they be considered remotely versed in the Kansas Tenet Laws or their expressed responsibility outlined in the lease contract. If you decide to rent from them document EVERYTHING, keep records of all correspondence, take photos upon move in and know your rights as a tenet!

I would not use this company to rent out my property ever again. My property has gone over 7 months without being rented and their attitude about it is lacking. They have gone through at least 5 different property managers in the 2 years that I have been with them. Because of this fact their communication is terrible. After they did not check to make sure the house was properly winterized and the heat was turned on a pipe froze and flooded the house. I was then charged for material that I did not authorize. But since they had changed property managers (once again) I was told there was nothing they could do. After going to the owner, who was clueless, I gave up and went with another company. Hire them at your own risk!
