Feedback:

Stupidly expensive! It's pathetic when a power bill is somehow higher than a mortgage payment! Rocky Mount is definitely the most expensive in the entire state. We came from Wake County and never ever have we had the kind of absurd utility rates that Rocky Mount has. Going from around only 300 a month in Wake County to an insane 700 in Rocky Mount!! Other than that, when the power goes out, expect it to stay out for possibly hours at a time when there hasn't even been a storm of any kind... Let alone wind.

I’ve lived in different cities in North Carolina. Most utilities were fair and worked with you, but Rocky Mount is on a whole different level then most. It seems like they only care about MONEY and if you call be prepared to be on hold for at least 1hr or more until someone pics up smfh. I will be happy when i move away from the city. It seems like the City Nashville NC is better then Rocky Mount in every way. DONT MOVE HERE!!!!

Horrible customer service and the rates is a rip off at best. How can a bill go up 300 or 400 dollars I’m over a week or 2 smfh and when they mail you a bill instead of sending it at the beginning of each MONTH LIKE MOST COMPANIES they send it at the middle or the end of the month

If u planning on moving to rocky mount don't the city is nothing but a rip off I call for a 6 day extend they cut my light off they wanted me to ask for funds sum thing I really didnt need I just need them to wait till I got payed I got a disabled child n my house it about 90 degree out side an they don't care an the worse things about all this my light bill went from me paying 288 to 630 thats crazy an they saying I have to pay a light bill I haven't seen yet if any body no a better way to light ur house with out using these thief's let me no

HORRIBLE!!! HORRIBLE!!!! HORRIBLE!!!!These people are not customer service oriented and are terrible to deal with!!! If you take their class they tell you they are ripping you off and there is nothing that can be done! No return phone calls from supervisors just terrible. If there was a negative rating they would deserve it!!!

They will cut your light off if you owe them 0.50 cent and charge you 50 dollar's to have them turned back on I'm like wow you must be the world's biggest douche. What kind of a special asswhole you must be to do these types things to people I'll never know

This is one of the most backwards, trifling and treacherous towns on the Eastern seaboard! You will pay more for Utilities here than in the North where it's colder longer or further south where it's hotter longer. It's a scam. "Customer Service" is an oxymoron, because you are a Not a customer you are their SLAVE and the only thing they will serve you is a utility that's higher than your rent or mortgage. The people here will steal the laces out of your shoes, steal the metal out your house; while the utility steals money out your wallet. The schools suck and the murders and violence is higher than Iraq and Afghanistan war zones. But and if you don't pay that $500+ a month utility you will suffer crime IN THE DARKNESS... It's not a city it's A PLANET OF APES!!!

I moved from Sharpsburg where my light bill ran upwards of 400 every month. So this little 150 200 is lovely. I don't know what people are complaining about.

I am buying and relocating there. My credit is high enough to buy a home yet they are requiring at $325 deposit. That is crazy. I believe it is because they are the only provider so they can gouge you knowing you have to pay it. Sad. We come from Texas where there are many options and if u do have a deposit they factor it in bill. Not demand it upfront
