Feedback:

I only gave this company a 1 star, because that is basically what I had to put to leave a review. If it was up to me, they would not be receiving one star. What a JOKE of a company. We went into contract May 30th, and was told closing was June 30th as they were "drywall stage" -- After that, we found out they weren't going to make that June 30th date. They gave us July 15th, but to "not be surprised if it was changed to mid August", missed that date and was told August 30th ... August 30 comes and yet again, it changed to September 30th. We then got a paper in the mail from our homeowners insurance saying they were told OCTOBER 30TH! No one told us about that last date!!!!! They don't communicate with their customers.... they DON'T make dates because their workers can't pass a single inspection - they are the most unfaithful company I have ever seen. Please do your research on this company before doing anything. We have since got out of contract - why would we want to live in a house that can't pass inspections? 6 closing dates later, and no end in sight on that closing. We wasted so many months on them. They aren't worth your time!

Feedback:

We just closed on our new Wade Jurney home. We couldn't have had a better experience and we absolutely love our home. We didnt think we could afford a brand new home, but Wade Jurney made it possible! We purchased in Columbus, GA. The experience we had with Inspire Home Loans was PHENOMENAL also. We had chosen a local lender, but after putting in the application at Inspire decided to go with them. Sean made everything so easy and was responsive to all of our questions. The team between Wade Jurney and Inspire is the way to go!

Feedback:

While building a house in my neighborhood, Wade Journey destroyed a section of asphalt. After numerous calls and promises from WJ to fix the concrete, nothing was ever done. Now my neighborhood will have to pay to fix WJ’s mistake. Shady company, buyer beware!

Feedback:

Horrible. My house is not even 4 years old and I have had experts tell me I should not be having issues this soon with my plumbing etc. All my toilets are having issues and the plumbing in the kitchen. I have seen doll hoses built better than Wade Jurney homes.

Feedback:

Strongly recommend looking to another builder for your next home. A warranty means nothing to these guys. Not to mention we couldn't choose a single option when building this home. Won't ever use them again. The work we need to do on this below builder grade house in order to sell one day is absurd for a not even 2 year old house

Feedback:

Wade Jurney Homes building company is a crew of scam artists. In June of 2017, our new construction home that we purchased in November 2016 flooded. We initially believed the problem was that the drainage pipe in our front yard that had been put in was way too small. A new pipe was put in that was much larger after the flood, however we are still having issues whenever it rains. We have been told by multiple contractors and disaster clean up employees that our house was not built to proper standards and will absolutely flood again. Since the initial flood, the house has come dangerously close to flooding several times, and this is without hurricane rains. We have not been compensated for the thousands of dollars in personal belongings and furniture that had been destroyed, nor for the emotional damages we have suffered the past year. We are constantly living in fear that our house will flood again at any moment. Our builder, Wade Jurney Homes, refuses to do anything to fix the problem that resulted in the flood and told us to "wait the test of time" and has stopped returning our phone calls. Wade Jurney is trying to blame the city for approving the land and the city is blaming the builder, claiming what they have done to fix the issue is sufficient. As the city and builder continue to point fingers at one another, we are the ones suffering the consequences. Thursady night our house flooded once again. Water was coming in through the front door and the walls. The garage flooded as well. The builder initially said they would come look when we contacted them last Friday, but have been dodging our calls ever since. This most recent flood occurred after about 20 minutes of hard rain. There is no chance our home will be able to withstand the upcoming hurricanes, yet Wade Jurney Homes does not care. We were told after our flood last week that we will not be helped because we are not under the 1 year "warranty" any longer, even though we reported this issue while the house was under warranty, and Wade Jurney clearly failed to fix the problem. They are an extremely dishonest company that needs to be exposed before they continue to ruin more lives. There are several bad reviews and complaints directed towards them, but they are continuing to build new houses daily. If anyone can put us in contact with a lawyer we would greatly appreciate it.

Feedback:

I'm not very impressed with this company. I'm breaking it out for a more fair review. The builder did a decent job on the home as far as I can tell, there are some flaws but no one can truly expect a home to be perfect and the star I have to give goes to them. I visited the site multiple times during the building process and didn't notice any questionable issues. This being said I'm still nervous about how the work will hold up in the following years due to the enormous amount of bad reviews.Every other thing about this company is an issue.1st: Expect no customization and things to be installed differently than the layout provided(They will also use cheaper things if they are getting a better deal. The main example I have is the Kitchen light fixture that was installed in my home doesn't match any other light fixture). Minor issue but still annoying. 2nd: Things used in the construction look nice but are cheap and will wear out more quickly than higher quality goods. The price makes up for this initially I personally plan on renovating as I have time and money.3rd: They will not for any reason reduce the price once they have a signed contract. I was surprised to find the other two homes that were slated to be completed at the same time as mine were reduced in price one week after I signed my contract(currently the other house exactly like mine in the area is being sold for a cheaper price than I payed; It also has a bigger lot). I was told it was because of the sq. ft. but I doubt it. Anyway I asked for a discount because of this and was told absolutely not. I also had my realtor ask for money off the price for the issue below and they refused. 4th: I initially was told there would be an HOA and I asked what the dues would be used for but they didn't have even the slightest idea. I then found out that after I signed the contract there would not be an HOA. The day of my closing they came back and said that there was going to be an HOA for the maintenance of the communities private sewer. Not, only was I blind sided by this additional cost they refused to compensate me for anything other than a few months and the initial fee. I would like to make the fair point that over the next 30 years of my mortage this will cost me more than 7 thousand additional dollars. Not only do I have an issue with this, but this being a last minute thing caused me to have to push back my closing day an additional 48 hours due to the paper work being incomplete. This is after already pushing it back half a week for construction delays. If I had been in the situation where I had a moving truck on its way to the house I would have been furious.5th: I had to already request my first maintenance/warranty request due to my septic system already backing up... I've never owned a septic system so all I knew was that if the alarm goes off the system is backed up and I needed to call someone, however the alarm wasn't going off so I didn't think there was an issue, but when the plumber came out he said the alarm and the pump were never turned on. Wade Jurney also just called the plumber without ever confirming they received my request. I was kind of surprised when I got a call from the plumber. Anyway, I will not suggest that anyone buys a home from this company.

Favorite affordable builder

Feedback:

Because of the poor grading done by Wade Jurney and there subcontractors we have standing water next to my home that has been there so long, it is growing tadpoles and insects. They treid to fix in once in months and actually made it worse so now my backyard is a swamp. I have had an electrical issue since we moved in, they've sent out numerous people and still have no resolution. There is burried construction debris in my back yard rather than remove it, so everytime we mow new things come out. Our water is leaving an odor in our towels and clothing. Wade Jurney blames county, county checks and sends it back to Wade Jurney. No resolution in site. Not to mention we didn't not get the original house we contracted for due to a salesperson error.
