I worked a promotional event for the company back in October. I was doing the company a favor as they needed someone last minute. Ciarra True got in touch with me for the details and payment for the promo which seemed like a good deal so I quickly drove an hour both ways on the other side of town for the event.Never once was I asked to fill out any type of paperwork/ application to work this promo, which made it seem like I would get paid as soon as the event was over, as I have promoted for other companies in the past. It wasn’t until 2 months later that I got back in touch with her about my compensation and found out I would only be getting paid after going though a long and frustrating process of filling out an application and tax information. It is now Feb 6th and I still have not received ANY compensation for the event back in OCTOBER. If you are thinking about applying for a position, or they have asked you to work an event, make sure they don’t try and use you like they did me. No wonder they didn’t have anyone to work the event for them!
