Jane Beaman of The Knowles Company could not have been more helpful from start to finish through the process of purchasing a house on Mount Desert Island. Our landlord was throwing us out, while simultaneously offering a ridiculous price for the same house we were living in—one which, thanks to Jane's immense expertise, we soon concluded was on the verge of collapse (although after living in that place for a year and dealing with infestations of virtually every animal in the encyclopedia, we had our suspicions...). Jane rapidly found us a warm, modern house just down the street which cost less than the house our landlord was trying to force us to buy. In just a few months, thanks to Jane, we signed the papers, moved in, and now, six months later, we really couldn't be happier. While our previous winter at that last place was almost unbearably cold, our new place has been warm, comfy, cozy, and animal-free—all thanks to Jane! Jane was prepared and thoughtful throughout the entire process. Whether it came to navigating the paperwork and the legalities of purchasing a house, finding an inspector, or examining the new house multiple times, Jane made it look easy.
