I usually don't write reviews, but Hutchison has went downhill fast. People warned me before starting there. That should have been my red flag, but i like to form my own opinion and give them a chance. I barely received any training. I had to figure out a lot of stuff on my own no joke. Isn't the point of being trained to make sure you learn and get it right? Because these parts are going on $20,000 cars shouldn't your trainer make sure you're getting it right. I know if I was buying a new car I would hope it was put together with quality and pride instead of being left in the dark hoping you're making it right. Like usually you get oriented at a place, shown around the plant, etc. I never got that. My first week I saw people taking trash cans to the back of the plant and thought what's going on? So I asked my coworker and they said oh you take your trash to the compactor in the back at the end of shift. I was never told this in training so my fellow coworker showed me where it was. I didn't even know there was a trash compactor. Shouldn't you be shown where stuff is your first week? In orientation you are told if you have any issues on the floor, personal issues please come talk to them because they value us and don't want to lose anyone. But when you try to talk to the office they seem like they are annoyed so it makes you feel uncomfortable to even try to speak with them. Again, not how they make you feel like a team in orientation. They make new polices, but yet don't have meetings with staff about it. Like you literally come into work one day with a new policy you had no clue about until someone is like hey why aren't you doing "said policy" oh because no one from management told me. Bad communication. They show favoritism to certain employees, but they won't tell you but it happens in front of your face. It's very unfair how they let one employee get away with something, but not the other employee who did the same thing. They don't honor every policy. You get treated like just another number and makes you feel less than especially when they talk about oh we are family and value everyone of you. Definitely not the case. The turnover rate is huge. I noticed that just in my first month. Very, very disappointed I never felt less valued than I do there.
