23 minutes from time I sent my first document to be printed until someone spoke with me at 3pm. Didn’t seem like peak hours but spent too much time to print 4 documents.

Feedback:

I've been using the Staples printing dept. for the past 8 years for my business needs. When Kari was the printing supervisor her department was AMAZING. The manager that took her place, Rebecca is awful. Every time I go in she is constantly complaining, whining about going home to her employees, and never wants to help customers. A few months ago it for to the point where I let her manager George know about it. She decided to retaliate against me bt purposely losing my printing jobs that I needed urgently, then she suddenly says my images can't be printed due to copyright issues, and today she got her new manager to bully me to throw away a 100+ page order that she continued to send snarky emails about for me to pick up. I just spoke to a manager Craig who reassured me they wouldn't harass me anymore about it and I could pick it up when I wanted to. When I told the new manager Eric that he said I can pick it up when I wanted to, his response was "that's why he's no longer the manger, I'm the manager, what I say goes". This made me laugh. He went on to say "this isn't a warehouse" as if my little stack of paper was disrupting their already trashed workspace. I've spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars at this Staples over the years and they just lost a loyal customer due to choosing to be childish and petty. The new manager Eric is a complete tool and handled the incident today very unprofessionally. I now have a case opened with Staples corporate office. Eric even went as low as trying to give me the wrong number for his corporate office, (another employee did too), but I used this great thing called GOOGLE and found it myself. It's staples folks, it's not that hard to do a decent job! Learn the basic customer service skills and treat your customers well, it's that easy. Where are all the Staples red EASY buttons when you need them? Not at the Westfield, MA store...I can tell you that.

Decent deals on school supplies

Feedback:

Today I went in to the Westfield Staples to get some back to school supplies as I am a teacher. The young people there were very accommodating in terms of multiple transactions so I could get the stellar discount. This is very much appreciated from an underpaid teacher haha. Meanwhile an older couple seemed to be giving them a very hard time. While I didn't catch the whole transaction, it didn't seem necessary for them to be so rude to these young people who are clearly trying their best. Apparently the woman threatened that she was going to get one of them terminated. If anything, shame on Staples for not staffing someone with more exerperience to help out--you could tell most were new or temporary (summer) staff. We already have so many problems in this world people just need to be nice to each other. Don't let your first world problems turn you into a curmudgeon. So I want to thank those young people who kept a smiling face and helping me out in the meantime. You are more than a review. Best wishes and good vibes!

Feedback:

The associate who helped us, Charles Sterling was excellent. He was very informed and helpful, and we were able to get exactly what we needed. It was a larger purchase than usual, we left feeling confident that we had chosen the best product for our needs and indeed it turns out we did. Thank you!

Sunday, Aug. 4th, 2019-I am sorry I didn’t get the manager’s name, (I believe he was a manager), to extol the virtues of the great service he provided me today. I had gone in to return some Staples CD labels that I didn’t realize were for Windows, and I own a Mac. At the same time, my wife needed a certain pencil. The store was busy with back to school shoppers. He came over to me, first went to try to match the pencil with the closest to the one my wife needed. Then we went to the computer to see if there was any CD labels that I could get with the Mac OS. He only saw Windows versions available. Not satisfied with that, he called a young tech savvy employee over. He explained that what I had purchased would work for me. Just go to the Avery web-site and enter the template number that was on the Staple’s product. I came home, anxious to see and thinking that the way things often go, I’d be returning to the store for a refund. Instead, everything worked flawlessly. I printed my labels without a hitch. Verdict: Staples saved a sale. The manGer and staff didn’t just look at the slip, hand me a refund and seem indifferent. I made comment to this manager how impressed I was, as he was trying to help me. He said, formerly, he had a tedious, back-breaking job at Wal-Mart. He loved his job at Staples. This is why I took the time and effort to share this story. A good person that cares is a total asset. I have left with a very positive impression of Staples in Westfield, MA. I WILL be telling others. Thank you!
