By far the most incompetent council in Great Britain if not the world. Their only interest is paying themselves as much money as possible and doing absolutely nothing. I could go on and on about all the spectacularly stupid things this council does and the amazing level of incompetence but their's not enough time or space on this site to get everything in.....

Spent the day in Weston whilst on holiday in Burnham for a week this summer.We had been for a dog walk on the beach and I put my dog into the back of the car for a rest for an hour, leaving each window open approximately 2 inches although it was a very windy day.I paid £3.50 for a parking ticket which I placed on the dashboard. When I returned I had a parking ticket! I couldn't make out why then realised that the ticket had fallen into the foot well!I appealed on line including a photo of the ticket, and pointed out the car photos they had supplied showing the windows open.But they had none of it and said I had to pay. I would suggest like most other counties they place a small sticker on the back of the ticket so you can stick it onto the window!Suffice to say we wont be returning to Weston and my £3.50 was not refunded!

Trying to get them to do anything within a reasonable timeframe or without having to chase is impossible. We took possession of our new property in December.. it is now September and we are still waiting for our waste and recycling bins.. what is the point of paying council tax?

I've always had very good service when I've phoned the council. Always been treated with respect. The recycling service is getting better, maybe they have a new man on my round as previously if it's not on the curb they won't take it. Mine was on my driveway one time, near the curb and they still took it which I was grateful for as there was a lot of it. I take my hat off to them, I can only imagine it's a very tough job.

Once again the council has missed the recycling collection day which seems to be the hallmark of the new 'improved' collection service. Two attempts to report this on-line (the day after the collection was due) results in the system refusing to accept the report saying that the 'Round has not yet been completed'.

None of the links on website are working, all say ERROR please try later! Also the website says they open at 8.30am but when I try calling I get a message that says " the office is now closed, we open at 9am. Total waste of council tax this lot. Strange that if you have to pay them for something you don't encounter any errors!! Try getting them to do their job and you hit a brick wall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am disgusted with their service. Because their system wouldn't allow me to do it online, I sent an email to their email address; as advised, 2 weeks ago applying for a single person council tax discount. I sent a followup email a week ago and called up again today. I was told that they haven't received my email and questioned as to whether I actually sent it!I was told to make a written statement and physically take it in! They are getting simple things wrong!

Dreadful to contact. Phoned 6 times before I got an answer. Cut off 4, 2 messages left no call back. When I did get through they couldnt help and had to escalate the query to a manager. Waiting to hear back!

Been waiting for details about my council tax now for over 6 months, no response from numerous emails. Have made a complaint on there website had one email strait away to try and help, replied straight away...... No response.... That was 3 month ago now.
