This place is consistently slow and frustrating. Spent more than an hour waiting in line because someone was complaining to the young employee and the one other 100 year old employee didn't know how to use the computer to complete our rental. Very annoying.

I would give this Uhaul a negative rating if I could.I showed up at 9am and it took them over an hour to figure out how to get me a truck.The older man that works the front is great, but everyone else was horrible. They have horrible attitudes and are extremely slow.Customer service is what kills this Uhaul for me. That and the vehicle they gave me already had damage all over when there were 2 trucks next to mine that were fine.Check your gas too. Another gentleman was saying that they lied to him about how much gas was in the vehicle.The parking lot is almost always at capacity (with their trucks eating up every spot, not customers) and it's extremely difficult to find a spot where you aren't blocking everything.If you're forced to rent from this horrible place, be sure to show up at least 1-2 hours early.

U-Haul of East Petersburg has been a nightmare to deal with 2 years in a row. In March of 2017, I rented a trailer from them and picked it up no problem. I moved all my stuff from Philadelphia back to Lancaster, and then went to drop it off. When I pulled up to drop it off, I was faced with what turned into a 2 hour wait. There was 1 person checking in equipment and the manager (Allen) was working in the back. That one person that was checking in equipment, was not moving the checked in equipment from the very small drop off area to the back so more equipment could be dropped off. After about hour 2 of standing in line, I went and asked to speak to the manager. Allen came out from the back and immediately started yelling at me. He was very rude right from the beginning. I was FINALLY helped after that and we left. Fast forward to present day, I am forced to rent from them again because they are the only U-Haul in the area that has the trailer I need. I pick up the trailer no problem, move everything, and drop it off no problem. When I see the bill, I see there is a charge for an electrical adapter. When the trailer was hooked up (by Allen), he noticed that we needed an electrical adapter for our lighting. When he asked if we had one, I said no and he said "Oh, no problem. I will go grab you one." (His exact words). He NEVER said this will be a $13 charge. No one ever told me this. The only way I found out was seeing my final bill. Both times, I called U-Haul corporate and filed a complaint against Allen and this location and both times I was treated with respect. I believe U-Haul is a good company who respects their customers, but this location is DEFINITELY not an example of that. I will be avoiding this location at all costs in the future.

On 12/11/17 I took my truck to U-haul Moving and Trailer Hitch Center of Lancaster in East Petersburg PA. I paid $37.10 to have some hitch wiring done while my trailer was at the dealer for service. When I went to pick up my trailer I discovered that the wiring was done incorrectly; I had lights but no trailer brakes. Prior to driving home with my trailer I had to pay another $37.50 to the dealer's shop to have the poor wiring job corrected so that I could safely drive home with my trailer. I have reached out to uhaul numerous times and Manager Alan Osbourne has yet to return my call. Thus far U-Haul has been unresponsive regarding this issue. I can't in good conscience recommend this U-haul to anybody.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! I can't warn anybody enough. My husband went to rent a truck and returned it at 7:30 pm which is after hours we only had the truck for 2 hours and put 28 miles on it. The next day I saw a charge on my credit card of $294.00 when I called to find out why the charge was there they told me that the mirror was broken glass was broken and that's why I was being charged. My husband went in right that same day to see what they were talking about only to be told that the truck was in Service and they couldn't show it to him. I called customer service and they did nothing about it. I went in to talk to the "manager" and see what the issue was he didn't talk to me he passed me on to the employer who put the charge on. All they did was show me a cracked mirror that was sitting outside in their garage. I will he involving the police and who ever else I can to have my money returned to me. For all I know they could have gotten that mirror off another truck I want to see camera footage when the truck was dropped off and what condition it was in when it was dropped off they refuse to show camera footage. They will lie straight to your face and ripp u off. STAY AWAY PEOPLE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF! SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE!

Will not install a hitch unless you waste your money on their cheap quality hitches. When asked why they couldnt install mine seeing as its the same fitment as a uhaul I got no good answer. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYBODY!!!
